Dorothy Hill Room
The Dorothy Hill Room is a space that is easily transformed to the setup of your choice. With newly-installed AV equipment, this can be the perfect breakout space for your conference, or a stand-alone room for your meeting. With the option to also utilise our foyer, this is a surprisingly adaptable space.
Professor Dorothy Hill (1907–1997) was a geologist and palaeontologist. The first woman elected to the Academy (1956) and its first female president, she spent most of her career at the University of Queensland. She also served as a Second Officer in the Women’s Royal Australian Naval Service (WRANS) during World War II. She was known for her work on palaeozoic coral.
